Job Purpose:
The Sales Admin will assist the sales team with daily administrative tasks and department operations. This person will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound communication with prospects, maintaining a CRM database, and supporting a team of sales professionals to ensure efficient and effective sales activity and revenue generation. The role is perfect for an organized, disciplined professional who wants to build a career in the tech industry and make an impact on a growing business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enter data into HubSpot CRM database and sales/leads spreadsheet; maintain data accuracy throughout sales cycle
- Compile prospect lists for assigned verticals
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries and/or route leads to sales reps
- Conduct outbound prospecting calls and send prospecting emails to generate warm leads for sales team to nurture and close
- Schedule calls/meetings/demos for sales team members
- Send follow-up messages and resources to prospects who participate in product demos
- Communicate with past demo/trial prospects to re-engage them and help move them closer to a sale
Experience/Education/Skills
The qualifications below are preferred, but not required. We are open to hiring the right person regardless of background, education, or experience, provided you are a quick learner, good communicator, and have integrity (you do what you say you will do). This is a full-time role with benefits, but we are open to candidates who prefer to work fewer than 40 hours/week to start (must work at least 30 hours/week to be eligible for benefits).
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on drafting professional emails and following a phone call script
- Ability and willingness to make cold calls
- Experience scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars for self and others
- Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets/HubSpot a plus
- Understanding of and passion for nonprofit sector; experience serving as a volunteer or nonprofit board member a plus
- Superior organizational and project management skills; high attention to detail
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, tech startup environment
- Ability to work independently and juggle competing priorities
