With update 2.8, Boardable rolls out new tools for its board management software. Together, these tools drive more engagement between nonprofits and their boards before, during, and after meetings. The new Boardable 2.8 product update went live on April 21, 2018.
“We have been working towards these product changes for some time now,” says Product and Marketing Manager Krista Martin. “We gathered customer feedback and incorporated several user experience improvements in addition to new core product features. We want to give our administrators all the tools they need to prepare for an efficient meeting.”
Agenda Builder makes creating meeting agendas a smoother, more collaborative process. It also nurtures engagement between meetings, as well as primes board and committee members to be active during meetings.
Administrators, for example, can now involve members in developing agendas, and add deeper context to agenda items. Agenda Builder gives them the ability to:
Board members get added functionality, too, such as the ability to:
Admins can now update statuses for board members. Speaking of board members, they can now RSVP as “remote” when they anticipate calling or using video conference when unable to attend in person.
Admins can also designate members as collaborators on upcoming meetings. Collaborators can help prepare for the meeting by adding documents, polls, sending meeting messages, or editing the agenda.
DOCUMENT CENTER ENHANCEMENTS
Document Center gets two updates to make it faster and more intuitive. First, users can upload multiple documents at once, which is especially when building packets comprised of individual files.
Second, drag-and-drop functionality uploads documents with less friction than drilling through multiple layers to find and select files.
These enhancements uphold Boardable’s commitment to usability by adding functions users have come to expect from traditional file-hosting services.
Boardable’s Director of Product Krista Martin held a training shortly after the 2.8 product release.
