Meet Samantha, Our New Director of Customer Success

Samantha Alarie-Leca recently joined the Boardable team as our new Director of Customer Success. She brings a long history of nonprofit work to the team, along with a deep knowledge of the challenges our nonprofit customers face. When you start a Boardable subscription, Samantha and her team are the ones who support you in your software journey. We are thrilled to have her experience and perspective to help our customers thrive.

Making Philanthropy a Priority

A passion for supporting and connecting nonprofit professionals is a persistent theme in Samantha’s life. A Rhode Island native, she quickly became active in the Indianapolis nonprofit community. She started a local grant making networking group on her own, to help her fellow grant professionals do their best work. Within a few years, the group was thriving and became part of the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance.

Samantha also became an active member of Giving Sum, a collective giving and civic leadership organization in Indianapolis. During her time with the organization, she was elected vice president for two years and board president for two years. Soon, her nonprofit board service gained national respect, and she was elected to be the treasurer of the national board of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.

A Work History with Meaning

In addition to her volunteer work with nonprofits, Samantha’s most recent work history was at a private family foundation that primarily funded international community building and woman-centric campaigns. At the small foundation, she had the opportunity to learn all aspects of the funding process. She is especially proud of helping the foundation transition from restricted funding to unrestricted and multi-year funding.

When Samantha decided to join Boardable, it was important to her that she really believed in the product. She has been on the staff of a nonprofit that was shopping for software, and she is excited to be working for a product that she believes has the ability to help nonprofits save time and improve the board member experience. Another fun part of Customer Success for Samantha is getting to know her customers and help them maximize their important work.

Life Outside Boardable

Outside of Samantha’s extensive nonprofit involvement and her work at Boardable, she is a travel enthusiast. She has a special love for national parks and has visited 16 of them throughout the country.
