Job Purpose

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are responsible for identifying and creating new, qualified sales opportunities for Account Executives. The SDR will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact. This role is fast paced and will routinely make between 50 to 100 calls and emails per day.

Responsibilities 

  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
  • Anticipate needs by studying and conducting market research to identify new leads
  • Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead-generating efforts
  • Attend product training conferences to develop an understanding of the Boardable platform as well as the supporting sales and marketing tools
  • Monitor, manage, and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
  • Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting

Qualifications 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Public speaking experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of the SaaS or enterprise software market and a proven ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Avid continual learner with the ability to quickly research, document, follow up, and update critical prospect details in Boardable’s marketing and sales tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as be a productive team member
  • Have a strong work ethic and be eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
  • Have experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Sales CRM (Hubspot), or other similar prospecting applications while keeping track of dead-end leads
  • Must be an excellent problem-solver and willing to collaborate in an exceedingly competitive environment
  • Passion for helping organizations understand and solve their business problems while successfully selling them Boardable’s products
  • Thorough understanding of the market and brand recognition to successfully establish rapport with prospects
