About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to help us build a robust inbound marketing function and craft compelling narratives to inform, educate, and inspire nonprofit and business leaders. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Build and execute content strategy for Boardable, encompassing all forms of content from short to long and informal to formal, with the result of generating leads and accelerating sales funnel velocity
  • Develop and execute successful thought leadership vehicles
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing to ensure Brand (voice, message, theme, tone) is defined, executed, and consistent across all outbound communications and digital assets
  • Manage internal resources and external stakeholders for flawless project execution.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within the scope of agreements and within budget.
  • Develop, review and/or approve content project requirements, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage resource availability, capacity and project allocation including relevant third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Continuously identify, measure, and optimize content performance KPIs, working with the Marketing Ops Manager to build successful content programs and map out new ways to reach both core and new audiences
  • Manage an editorial and content production calendar. Assign and keep track of all tasks, workflows, and deadlines, including inputs from executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and third-party partners
  • Work with internal stakeholders including marketing, product marketing, sales, customer success, and others to proactively identify business priorities that can be fulfilled with content
  • Serve as the internal ‘go-to’ resource for any content requests
  • Monitor competitor blogs and stay up to date on search trends to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth and page ranking
  • Collaborate with the Digital Advertising Manager regarding Boardable’s social media profiles and presence, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Quora, and Instagram, creating, organizing, and scheduling shareable content appropriate for specific networks to both spread our brand and our content and links.

Experience/Education/Skills

  • 2 years of content marketing experience is required
  • Project management experience within a marketing environment is preferred
  • BA/BS degree (or similar) required or relevant experience 
  • Experience in B2B SaaS marketing preferred
  • Possess sharp writing abilities for both long-form content (White Papers, Research, Playbooks) and short-form (Emails, Blog posts, Social)
  • Extensive SEO experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • A process-driven mindset that aligns with strategy
  • Exceptional editorial skills and a deep understanding of how to guide contributors, and keep creative work streams on track
  • A passion for ensuring high quality in all marketing assets
  • Excellent written communication, content, and copy skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and WordPress or other content management software
  • Wordpress experience required
  • Ability to effectively implement new programs and processes within the organization, gaining internal alignment throughout the process  
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at handling multiple concurrent projects and have a relentless obsession for excellence
  • Self-motivated, organized, disciplined and able to work on your own and as part of a team
  • A creative planner and doer with the ability to lead and influence peers
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through 
  • Experience in marketing automation with preference toward HubSpot
  • Previous experience hosting webinars preferred
