Boardable Ranks Among Highest-Scoring Businesses on Inc.  Magazine’s Annual List of Best Workplaces for 2023

Boardable named among best workplaces

Indianapolis, IN May 30, 2023 – Boardable has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list. Featured in the May/June 2023 issue and prominently featured on, the list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or a virtual facility.

Nonprofit boards are responsible for furthering the missions of their organizations, but organizational friction and communication barriers, especially in today’s hybrid work environments, make this increasingly difficult. Boardable is the board management solution designed specifically for nonprofits, by a team that is just as passionate as serving on nonprofit boards as their customers. Boardable’s software helps leaders, administrators, and board members remove friction from collaboration and renew focus on their missions in order to drive more positive change in the world.

After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum  Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.

Jeff Middlesworth, CEO at Boardable, says “At Boardable, one of our company values is to ‘Live the Mission.’ We live and breathe our mission by serving on boards ourselves because we are passionate about both serving our customers authentically and driving positive change in the world.

“Being named to Best Workplaces is an honor that only a small fraction of companies have been able to claim,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Proving to the world that you’re a  magnet for talent and have a culture that keeps teams engaged, productive, and proud to come  to work is a truly remarkable achievement.”

Boardable Introduces Accessibility

Board management software becomes only platform in the space to achieve Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance.

(INDIANAPOLIS, IND.) – Sept. 29, 2021 – Boardable, an online board management and meetings platform, announced today Accessibility, an on-screen menu that allows users to make adjustments to their screen for a more personalized experience. Accessibility helps accommodate various needs, including auditory, cognitive, neurological, physical, speech, visual impairments and temporary disabilities.

In the United States, one in four adults has some type of disability. Often, websites and software platforms don’t consider ways to make their service more accessible. According to the 2020 Web Accessibility Annual Report, 98% of U.S.-based websites are not accessible to the disability community from a legal perspective. The Web Contact Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) take images, forms, icons, buttons, menus and more into consideration when assessing WCAG compliance.

“While technology is improving and changing every day, many are not taking into account the features or settings that impact those with additional accessibility needs,” said Jeb Banner, CEO of Boardable. “With Accessibility, our goal is to allow board members and others to engage and contribute without barriers. This includes removing language, visual, hearing and cognitive barriers. Everyone deserves to receive the same experience when using the Boardable platform.”

Through Accessibility, users can access 11 different features that help create a more inclusive environment. Features include:

  • Screen Reader: designed to assist individuals who are blind or visually impaired, you can listen at normal, fast or slow reading pace.
  • Contrast: different contrasts help people with dyslexia, light sensitivity and colorblindness, as well as provide options to reduce eyestrain
  • Highlight Links: this can help people with motion impairments, cognitive limitations and visual disabilities; turn on this feature to highlight every link on the page, making it easier to identify quickly
  • Bigger Text: increase the font size for enhanced reading speed and accuracy, especially on smaller devices
  • Text Spacing: increase the white space between lines of text, up to three times the original, to make text easier to read and minimize distractions
  • Pause Animations: stop animations, blinking, and flashing content to minimize distractions and assist individuals with low vision, people prone to seizures, and those triggered by visual stimuli

Board members can easily customize accessibility settings to meet their specific needs, feeling empowered to contribute independently without barriers or limitations.

Boardable Enhances Video Conferencing Capabilities Through Spotlight

Board management platform unveils new product, Spotlight, desktop application, and integration with Zoom, streamlining board meetings in virtual and hybrid environments.

INDIANAPOLIS, April 14, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Boardable, an online board management and meetings platform, today announced Boardable Spotlight, a new meetings experience providing enhanced video conferencing capabilities, as well as the Boardable desktop app. Additionally, Boardable announced its new Zoom integration.

“The remote environment isn’t going anywhere,” said Jeb Banner, CEO of Boardable. “While many boards have made the necessary changes to continue meeting during the pandemic, they’re often using multiple solutions to address their board meeting needs. Through Boardable Spotlight, the desktop app and our Zoom integration, we’re streamlining board meetings and providing board members with one solution to create effective agendas, organize documents, keep track of tasks and now, host meetings.”

Boardable Spotlight brings together all the tools board members need to meet virtually and in-person, allowing them to collaborate seamlessly and document decisions so boards can spend less time on meeting logistics and more time meeting its mission. With an embedded split screen, there’s no need for second monitors or separate video conferencing apps. Instead, meeting participants can view meeting material, record minutes and notes, and chat on the left side of the screen while also viewing and engaging with other meeting participants on video to the right of the screen. Boardable also created the new Boardable Desktop App to eliminate multiple steps when preparing for a board meeting. With one-click access to Boardable, users can eliminate distractions and stay focused on the tasks at hand.

Available in the Zoom App Marketplace, Boardable Spotlight allows users to easily set up Zoom Meetings or link to Zoom from their Boardable profile settings. The integration lets users handle all tasks associated with a board meeting in one place. From conducting necessary actions like organizing meetings and eliminating separate meeting links to securing access codes for meetings, attendees can quickly access meeting details, agendas, meeting documents and join Zoom—all from the Boardable platform.

“Board members provide strategic insight and valuable guidance to companies. Their time shouldn’t be wasted on coordinating meetings, compiling agendas or trying to find documents from previous meetings,” said Jeff Middlesworth, chief product officer of Boardable. “Through these new products and platform integrations, we hope to give board members more time to focus on overseeing their respective organizations.”
