Job Purpose

The Customer Marketing Manager position is responsible for strengthening the customer relationship to Boardable by providing communication, resources, and tools in conjunction with the Customer Success and Marketing teams. This role will help increase customer retention, expansion, and engagement. Customer Marketing Manager will report directly to the Director of Customer Success and will work closely with both the CS and the Marketing Teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

Product and Event Marketing: Plan and execute the marketing strategy focused on product training and overall success of our existing customers.

  • Educate our customer base about our products and their benefits through customer-focused content, social media monitoring, and more
  • Maintain Customer Success web resources and training materials 
  • Help execute Customer Success training and informational webinars
  • Measure the success of these campaigns and optimize your approach based on the resulting data

Customer Advocacy: Advocate internally that all teams solve for the customer -- you are their biggest fans within the company and understand that their success and happiness mean our success and happiness!

  • Coordinate customer testimonials, reviews, and case studies
  • Work with other departments and contractors to produce needed training materials, videos, and ebooks for customers

Customer Retention and Engagement 

  • Handle content creation and copy for customer retention, expansion, and referral campaigns 
  • Help develop more extensive Customer Training Program
  • Assist with social media content posts to keep engagement going with the external community of both customers and prospects

Experience/Education/Skills

  • Understanding of nonprofit culture, challenges, and needs
  • Experience with WordPress required
  • Familiarity with Hubspot email marketing and data tools.
  • Social media marketing experience: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram (Quora a plus)
  • Experience with ChurnZero a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to match our voice is a must
  • Ability to work with a variety of teams on quick-turnaround projects is essential
  • Basic graphic editing skills
