Job Purpose

Boardable is in search of a Finance Leader to join our team. As the senior financial and accounting leader, you will partner closely with the C level and will oversee all aspects of financial management at our rapidly growing company through its next phase of expansion.

This hands-on position will be responsible for overseeing key company financial metrics, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting. In addition to these core aspects this role will also be heavily involved in forecast preparation, pricing strategies, development of internal control policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP, and will serve as the primary interface to external CPA, tax, audit and related resources.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Will be the primary financial owner and strategic partner to the executive leadership team.  Advising on a range of financial metrics including: packaging, pricing, audits, staffing, services, digital & marketing related spends
  • Develop scalable processes to ensure all financial information is properly captured, reconciled and documented 
  • Manage the payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commissions, bonuses and benefits, “closed won” process, billing, financial reporting, operational spends (insurance, …), tax filings and coordinating with external CPA
  • Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting processes and preparation of monthly variance analysis for review with executive team and department heads as well as all aspects of an annual audit for the organization
  • Actively develop and integrate accounting controls, new and improved systems, and new accounting systems and implement them to ensure that Boardable has the proper financial infrastructure in place to streamline operations and facilitate growth
  • Prepare financials, presentations and modeling scenarios for Board of Directors’ meetings

Experience/Education/Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.  Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred.
  • 8+ years total accounting experience with more than 50% in a SAAS environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate and foster a positive and energetic work environment 
  • Exceptional work ethic and a team player
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading, managing and scaling the finance function (team, system implementation, and process development)
