We wanted to examine the board fundraising data we uncovered in our 2019 Board Engagement Survey, as well as learn about methods to help board members participate more in development. This event features Kelly Velasquez-Hague, a nonprofit fundraising professional who blends hands-on development experience with deep expertise in event fundraising technology. After spending four years in development at a private Montessori school, Kelly discovered a passion for helping mission-driven organizations raise money in ways that feel more efficient and engaging. She brings extensive experience from OneCause (formerly BidPal), where she has focused on understanding what nonprofits need to run successful fundraising events and supporting them as they implement software solutions. With a strong commitment to practical, helpful education, Kelly also creates high-quality resources designed to help fundraising teams get better results, and she joins the event from Chicago.

2019 Board Engagement Survey

After four years of development at a private Montessori school, Kelly Velasquez-Hague realized she had a passion for helping others find more efficient and engaging ways to raise money for their important causes. She has extensive experience at OneCause (previously BidPal) in finding out what nonprofits need for successful event fundraising, and helping them implement software solutions. Her love of helpful content drives her to constantly find out what information would be most beneficial to her OneCause audience, and produce high-quality resources for them. Kelly currently resides in Chicago.
